Ohio University’s Office of Sustainability and Moving & Surplus will be hosting a Salvaged Bicycle Sale in front of the Ping Center on Wednesday, March 29th at 2:00pm.
All bicycles will be $40.00 (which includes tax) and are sold “as is.”
It is recommended to have the bikes professionally evaluated for safety prior to using.
Payment must be made in the form of cash or a personal check or money order made payable to “Ohio University”. Credit cards will not be accepted.
Only one bike per person may be purchased. All sales are final. There is a no return policy.
Sales are only open to Ohio University students, faculty, and staff.
An Ohio University ID card must be shown as proof of affiliation prior to purchase.
Registration and an opportunity to browse available bicycles will begin at 1:00pm. Once the sale starts, customers are assisted in the order they registered. Once the sale begins, only a few people are allowed to view the bikes at a time. Once a selection is made, the customer and the bike are moved to the checkout table to complete the sale and then more customers are allowed to enter the bike corral.
First Come-First Served Registration starts at 1pm.

Wednesday, April 19th
Take a break from studying to join us for a day of celebrating the Earth and its trees! During the day, stop by Punchcard Park to receive a free potted herb (and decorate the pot!) and play a few yard games with us. Then, pop by Walter Hall Rotunda from 5-7pm to listen to our keynote speaker. Award recipients of the Sustainability Awards, Sustain OHIO and Sustainability Tracking and Evaluation Program (STEP) will all be announced at this time. Learn about how Ohio University has recently been recognized as a Tree Campus USA and walk away with your very own sapling! This is a day to celebrate all the good being done to preserve our Earth. Join us as we applaud the efforts of this supportive community.

-Demonstration by the Office of Sustainability’s Tree Care Coordinator, including mapping of the root system of a tree, a talk introducing the importance of root systems trees, and carbon sequestration.
